MEDX - Been working on it 4-6 wks. Cdn Clinics will pilot & operationalize it. Doctor can use hand held scanner to upload images to send to Dermatologist for quick response & diagnosis. Melanoma will be able to be addressed immediately. The successful pilot will lead to rollout of all Empower Clinics & Network.
- Looking at adding Cardiology & other Diagnoatic testing to add to Clinic services. Interested in value added care good for patients, nice margin, & accretive revenue. Can dramatically improve family health & add value to improve accessible Healthcare services.
KAI LABS - have a prescribed strategy. Invest in strong R&D capabilities. Since Oct 6, volume keeps doubling. Start of year has been Tremendous. Now developing Kai Test online Consumer platform. Presently in the final days of completing Q&A development of the online platform so its perfect. Once it is live for a few weeks and running smoothly, will start advertising campaign.
- Kai Saliva PCR tests is first of many tests that are coming in the future that can be delivered to people at home to administer. Kai is developing a new line of diverse R&D based self administered health tests. These will be added to the Kai Test Consumer platform. Creating opportunities to connect to millions of patients & consumers.
Goals are to improve cycle time & delivery of healthcare by putting more control into the hands of consumers to manage their wellness. Want to provide better access.
- Giving resources to Kai to accelerate R&D cycle time to develop new Test products for the markets we serve. Goal is access to millions of people in these markets.
- LOOP Partnership - Plans to expand partnership. Loop has a great Tech stack and value to create Design for Digital Wallet passes & Workflow. Working on Govt & Corp Bids & contracts together with Loop Tech + Kai testing to lift Travel bans.
- Working w Sports & Travel partners on proof of Concept to potentially test pilot solutions.
DTC UPDATE - Fees are paid, Govt paperwork completed. Hopeful DTC will come in March. Will increase access to US investors to invest in Empower.
3 CLINICS - Expect to open doors in May-June. Each has a different build out schedule. Many more Clinics are in process of Recruiting Docs & choosing Rexall Pharmacy locations. Will be constantly building out & opening more Clinics for years.
DFW AIRPORT BID - Interacting in communication with bidding process of fact checking & clarifying & decision process. It's the 2nd largest Airport in the world. 5 miles away from Kai.
LAST TIDBITS for next few Mths & Quarters.... Focus on partnerships.
1. Rollout of Healthcentres to market. Using intelligent approach.
2. Science R& D led by Kai testing. Demand is high. Participating in bids
3. Healthcare Tech - Like the MEDX partnership. Looking at more diagnostic tech to speed up testing. Improving access for patients. Helping Docs give better more effective care. Ability to reach more patients (millions) in the markets we serve.
4. Continue to have Acquisitions. Deal pipeline is strong. DD is key. Have extra money in the bank right now. Use a frugal approach and preserve capital appropriately. Have a tidy balance sheet. Spending money thoughtfully on R&D now with Kai.
