RE:Oroco Stock Analysis - Mariusz S. | The Best Junior Copper S Good to see more eyes on the company, but it seemsed at least one items needs a correction.
Here is what Mariusz wrote in hte comments to this video:
quick clarification of something I said in the interview. I misspoke on the subject of Insider Sales.
The NET sales over the year had a value of about $378,000, representing less than 2/10ths of 1% of the average market cap of the company over the last year, or about 1/10 of 1% of today's market cap.
As a percentage of all trades on the TSX over the past year, net insider sales represented a little less than 3/10ths of 1% of trading value.
In both cases a very small, even inconsequential number. During that time, the insiders who sold also exercised expiring warrants stemming from past participation in a private placement and exercised stock options that were also expiring. In Canada, when exercising stock options, a tax liability is generated. The exercise and tax bill would each have required funds, and while I don't know the exact amounts, it's fair to say that at least some of the proceeds of these sales would have simply gone towards the exercise cost and the resultant tax liability. I mispoke when I suggested the some of the sales were for the purpose of "down payment on a house" and had another company in mind.
I hope this puts the sales in better context.
