RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Idea!I would disagree with both of you on the Nortel fiasco. Yes there was some management issues but if you were so smart to realize the network infrastructure business was going to run dry and come crashing down you would have sold your stock at or near the peak. Everyone was on the happy train together. There were many companies that wernt bankrupt because of the crash and shareholders that suffered big time. Nortel did some seriously questionable things during the last stages of its existence for sure and that is well documented but i would suggest there was tons of greed going around during this bubble so putting all the blame solely on Nortel is the easy out for far too many. It is easy to take credit for the wins and place blame for the losses. i just think the blinders were on and everyone believed there was no end to the infrastructure contracts.
I also agree that Air Canada has done amazing things over the past 5 years to solidify its business and create a stronger company. no doubt they have lots of upside right now and going forward can become even stroonger and increase value in the coming years.
