Acreage Holdings is a leader in the US multi state operatorsand it is also Canopy Growth's choice for their US Internationalization efforts. Acreage has most of the parts that Canopy is going to need for rapid US expansion when we get a triggering event that Canopy feels that they have the immunity idol from US Fed persecution, prosecution, seizure of assets or any other legal ill-will that they can throw at Canopy.
Some posts about the nr in regards to financing have Acreage as being bought and paid for. It is my understanding that that is the deal but keep in mind that Acreage rewarded their shareholders with most of that cash by special dividends. Acreage will still need a lot of cash to be what Canopy has planned for them. Canopy probably didn't secure that cash security for their track record in Canada but more likely because they have Constellation Brands backing.
Acreage shares aren't getting the respect that I think they deserve and considering their future and the premium backing that they have, I see them being 10 times what Canopy is now. Those fixed shares of Acreage Holdings will get shareholders about 1/3rd of what they hold in Acreage converted to Canopy shares. ASAP after a triggering event Canopy will assume those shares and hang their name on all of those assets currently in Acreage's portfolio. In the meantime they are beginning to resort to branding deals with Acreage so they can get Canopy Branded products to store shelves, relying on State protection laws.
It's all in time for US domination and Canopy is there, proactively taking care of business at hand, to be the world's leading marijuana and hemp company. I think the US is number 13 country on the international expansion list and for sure it is the most important.
I don't understand why Acreage Holdings is so ignored by US and other investors. Canopy certainly isn't! Acreage management spent large to acquire their assets and the greenrush in general took a serious correction but they are the chosen one for Canopy and imho it is just a matter of time before the US sorts out the legalities to welcome this new form of investment. glta and dyodd
