RE:New pics on the websiteI just went through a few hundred photos from the Woulfe days and found that mine train engine with all the dump carriages have been sitting exposed to the elements since mine closure in the 90's and was there next to the original portal outside the mine.
Also found underground pics of detached dump carriages in much better condition that have now been removed from the mine to this new display.
If you zoom in you can see one side of the dumper is flat while the other side is slightly curved and that is the side that the dump is done with a hand cranked mechanism to rotate the carriage ore into the old concrete dump hoppers at Sangdong level (now the roof of the KIGAM Pilot plant) and these carriages can be reversed to hook up the other way to dump on the other side if needed.
From what I know the old mine train came out of the portal loaded with ore and moved on a clockwise track past the dump hoppers, unloaded by manulal labour to tilt the ore out of the carriage sideways into the hoppers, then move to a side track and switch to be able to reverse back down the mine for the next load.
The sad part is that before the mech age, the engines were horses, donkeys, oxen and humans
No offence intended to the Japanese, but that time in history was a low point.
Hence the need for a mini-museum for future schools excursions to the area to learn about history.
ASX listing "before" April and Moly drill start April 12th.
God I'm tired........
