Had a quick look at EXRO. EXRO replaces the motor controller with its own smart model to make electric motors perform better through changes in torque, etc. which may also indirectly improve energy efficiency. The tech being designed for Hillcrest makes electric motors/generators more energy efficient by directly improving the conversion of electrical energy to mechanical energy and vice versa.
