SoEnbridge was overtaxed by the state of Minnesota and now are in arrears to the tune of $55M
not including interest. Add to that the state gov'ts stubborn opposition to replacing any
existing pipelines and you've got one hell uva mess to sort out. They overtaxed Enbridge for
years and spent their ill gotten tax gains on God knows what and now don't have the financial
resources to pay it back and at the same time despise the company for its pipeline egress
across their lands.
I would strongly suggest given the situation that Wllmar and her supporters politely back down
and start doing a little a ss kssing if they know what's good for them which I doubt given the history.
Yes, this will go to appeal court and the lawyers will dispute the tax rulings but I think this time
ENB has a good standing argument about the overvaluation issue. I wouldn't be surprised if they win a 2nd time then let the a ss ksssing begin in earnest. Funny how things can flip when you
when you least expect it. The blatant arrogance of of the cancel culture is going to get it big
time right where it hurts. Their collective pocket books. You think that might soften their rehtoric
to some degree but we'll see.
