This would still take $2.5 to $3.0B here --- not small dollars unless you have desirable equity like WFG and do a stock deal. Most guys are private or a have an equity mess (dubious strategy and leadership) that mandate a higher premium than WFG paid for OSB, so $$$$ incoming. So why pay $1000/mfbm for IfP when there are cheaper, albeit crummier, options in Europe and throughout the south? These guys trade today at their replacement cost. Paying 50% more seems risky as all getup given the chicken little mentality curreny in place in the market.
