RE:DGS receiving a premium nowflamingogold wrote: Much like DFN, the market is rewarding the paying splits with a premium for diversification. Diversification may be boring and not move a NAV as quickly as a one asset strategy stock or split but it provides a safety net for when the wind blows in the wrong direction for any particular sector.
Monday is the last day to buy or sell before it goes ex-dividend. I took advantage of the premium to sell my DGS at an average of $5.50 for a nice Cap Gain of $5,800. May buy some back after it goes ex-div (if it drops enough) or may put some into LBS (also when it goes ex-div) which is still trading at a small discount.
Hanging on to my largest holding which is FTN to collect the dividends there.
