Currently trading at just under 9K per ton, so certainly in the realm of possibility that it could go there over time. While I am quite bullish on Taseko's future, I don't see it trading over $5-6 (at best) over the next few years, UNLESS they start booking a much larger profit and New Prosperity or Yellowhead begin to show promise of becoming reality; although, if Russ were to decide to retire....all bets are off! :-)
They are not going to get attention of investors unless they start showing consistent profits and/or they start paying a dividend (they won't do that while they are still in growth company mode).
Its not that they arent making money. They are. They just have a LOT of depreciation to write off with all the improvements on Gibralter and Florence. It is a good financial strategy because it avoids a lot of taxes. For people who really understand the company, they see this. For those that are looking at investment options with a scanner, they miss it.
