RE:RE:I have wondered...

RE:RE:I have wondered...Maybenow... you've said you've been reading here for years, yet you know so little about the management. Gilbert Clark joined Sentient in 2007 and became a partner in 2017. In June 2018 he was appointed interim president and CEO at Meridian while still a partner at Sentient.. Is that not involvement in Meridian while at Sentient??? Charles Riopel was a Senior Investment Director at Sentient from July 2012 to April 2015 and COO of Ferrometals BV from October 2014 until March 2015. Again, is that not involvement in Meridian while at Sentient??? Then there's Peter Weidmann, been with Sentient since 2010 and is currently a partner. Was on Meridian's BOD as a Sentient appointee from May 2018 to July 2020. And once again, is that not involvement in Meridian while at Sentient???

While I respect your right to add your 2 cents, it would be most appreciated if you could research your comments prior to making blanket type statements!

Sometimes the answer is simple and sitting just in front of everyone...
Maybe they left Sentient (not the other way around) because they're committed to performing their work to the highest standards, which they couldn't do at Sentient. Everyone assumes that every private equity fund is a success... often, what you see or think is far from reality... same as everyone assuming that they were both involved in Meridian while at Sentient...
So why come back to Meridian a few years later ? Maybe they were asked to... and maybe they believed that they could make a difference in turning it around, seeing in the assets more than just manganese.
Just my two cents...
