RE:NIBBLING BACK INTO AC

RE:NIBBLING BACK INTO ACStarsearcher, this was what you wrote 11 days ago:

More than AC specific concerns, the overall market is getting toppish, and it makes me nervous.  That, and in the short term the U.S. is doing their last kick at the moronic can, lifting mask regulations all over the place, and going back to no restrictions.  Just look at the Spring break parties going on. This is truly dumber than dumb, and with the Variants now accounting for about 40% of new cases, I fear there is going to be one horrible surge before vaccines can truly kick in.
Italy just did a country-wide lockdown because of the variants surging, and they aren't dumb anywhere near what the U.S. is deomstrating.

Starsearcher80 wrote: I sold AC around $30.70, and have decided to start re-entering the stock in and around current levels of $26.40   In the bigger picture, ANY of these levels, including above $30 will be viewed as cheap. It's not a matter of if, but only of when.

The U.S. vaccine effort is quite remarkable, with a number of States now switching to anyone over 16 years old.  This bodes very well for them over the next month, and should at least dullen some of the blatent stuipidy going on with some people (if not their Governors) acting irresponsibly and re-opening too soon.

I don't think there will be another surge there.  I do fully expect more people will die unecessarily, and that is just sa no matter what the number is.

In the bigger picture for the stock, we had a nice run from $20-$31.  Clearly that was the enthusiasm for the vaccines.  Fair enough.  Retracement is both normal and health for any stock, and there has also been some pause registered as people worry a little more about the Variants. Yes, there is cause for concern, but only in that people need to remain vigilant so they don't contract the virus.  Ultimately, the virus will be quashed by the vaccines, and I expect this will ramp up significantly over the next couple of weeks.  It's two factors here.  More people with vaccines, and less people that the virus can spread to (and thus reinfect more through that spread).

On the whole, I think we'll bobble around these current levels of infection.  Variants push up, vaccines push down...net no change.  But over the next few weeks, I expect that "net nothing" to suddenly start to decline at an increasing pace.  At that point, welcome to the next round of enthusiasm.

Specifically on the AC front, beyond just the vaccines, we are still waiting for Gov assistance (probably announced now in the budget), and also for a re-opening of the U.S. border. My best gues, given the succes of the vaccines in the U.S. will be a June announcment to that effect.  Remember too however that the market will not wait until June to respond. Anticipation buying will be very healthy in the stock.

We'll see what comes.  Can't wait for this virus to be done.
