I have a lot of shares too. It was my biggest share holding when I originally purchased just over a $1/share. I have a lot to lose but I have a lot to gain as well. Listen, if one is always worried you can follow what the insiders are doing collectively. If they sell 10% of their shares, then you sell 10% too. Some people like to follow the insiders and it's probably not a bad strategy. I believe they must sell as it has become a significant amount of their net wealth. It's like holding a portfolio and 1 stock represents over 90% of your wealth. It's definitely a bit risky as the market can suddenly turn against you for a long time.
disclaimer: I did sell 25% of my position in Acuity at around $32 as it was just too much tied to one company. I purchased recently in the $23 and $17 range and I now hold more shares than ever before.
