"Don't people realize the majority of products we currently use and will for the near future require oil."

It certainly appears a very large number of them don't and they're very willing to accept whatever the mainstream is feeding them. I mean who would ever think they may be getting fed an ideologist line to change the whole process of fuel, energy, power and material supply in a very unrealistic time frame. Something that is virtually impossible but for which they will try to instill the fear of the Lord into you if you dare to challenge the logic. Fear is powerful - why else would they be telling people the world will self destruct in 10 years if monumental change does not happen immediately.

Hopefully common sense and logic will still prevail and things will change as they should  in a realistic manner and time frame. Change is likely good and necessary but let's do it logically, under control, and as we develop the proper technologies and tools to do the right thing in the right way.

Don't be spooked into doing things that are stupid and in way too much haste because some extremist or extremist group is telling you you have no choice. Regardless of the subject extremism is never the way to handle it. Slow and steady wins the race.
