The best setup forhouseholdsEthernet. It's cheap, easy to install and speed/bandwidth are maxed out 100% of the time. I have 430-490 Mbps down and 16Mbps up all the time, in every corner of my home (and I'm only paying for 150 Mbps). I have a fantastic (not rented) router that can reach the park down the street if I care to wander down there. So I don't see the need for Wifi in the home for all the heavy lifting. Your doorbell and lightbulb doesn't need anythng fancy.
