Givemeabreak , I find it hard to believe your aeroplan story since mine is totally opposite !

For me aeroplan has been the best thing ever since early 1990's.

This is especially true the last 10:years ,since our son and his family relocated to Houston , Texas . Normally a flight for me and my wife will cost about 1800 cad total and we do that twice a year from Eastern Canada for a grand total of 3600 cad .

Thanks to aeroplan and the branded Visa cards I have been able to do these 2 trip for about 1800 on the average each year . Savings of 1500- 1800 cad most years .

There are many other friends that have similar savings when they travel .IMO , I am not unique . I have a need to travel frequently to visit family as well as the occasional vacation . When things normalize this year ,the planes will be full of people like me and other people wishing to discover the world and also visit friends and family .

Of course , the kicker here , is that we have been paying for many of these flights by flashing our aeroplan branded visa card all the while during covid lockdown, dreaming about the day we can escape the humdrum and once again fly AC to exotic places .

Since ,II'm a long time shareholder ,I also look forward to paying for some of these future trips by cashing in a few AC shares at 80-100/ share ,as well
