So we called, fully expecting to be on the phone for hours. To our surprise we were on the line for only minutes. The rather friendly young man told us that all available dates were now taken in our region and all nearby regions. I asked how could this be if the computer system was down for us was it not down for everyone. I didn't expect an answer and none was offered. Instead I insisted that I would take an appointment any where in the Province as long as I had enough time to drive there. To our great satisfaction we got one in Belleville Early next week.
Imagine my surprise to learn this morning that Belleville does not want outsiders in town and is threatening any outsider visiting there with a Five Thousand dollar fine. I have had to spend the entire day assuring my wife that surely they will allow us to go to get our vaccination. She is not so sure . Finally I told her that If I get a large fine I will gladly pay it as long as I get vaccinated and then start seriously considering living the rest of my days in some place that is not overrun by such massive inanity.
