Please define future. Oil demand may wane a bit near term, but when the worrld really opens up again, it will roar back. The % of alternative energy currently out there is a fraction of the energy required. It will take years for oil demand to really decline as a result of alterantive energy with the China and India economies expanding. Until then the oil industry will keep chugging along. There is a future for many years to come for politically stable and responsible oil in this world.
