Barrick forced back to table...

Barrick forced back to table...or lose it's leases.

PNG showing it wants fairness. Gone are the days where the 'great white benefactor' could rape and pillage foreign lands without redress.

Barrick had to eat humble crow in Tanzania too. These large multinationals can dress their words as they want but ESG has become very important. Either put up or walk out. The Porgera theme of outright theft was setup by Placer Dome which Barrick took over back in the 80's.

Mining is a dirty business but it has had to cleanup. No choice but to act in the right manner. Green is the movement that will keep pushing. There is only one world. Polluting anywhere means global impact.

Looks like the bullion banks maybe caught in a squeeze. So they have to let gold rise and wiggle out of their short positions in an orderly fashion while they can.
