I am old enough to remember the early days of Mitel. The development of Martello on the surface appears to be using the same playbook. Build a solid foundational technology stack that is value-add and once established, layer on a partner and channel network to scale revenue growth and exposure. I don't remember top of mind how many channel partners Mitel has, but it is many (possibly hundreds or more).
Martello from what I gather only has a few partners today (Mitel, Paessler, Microsoft). It is my opinion that Terry is utilizing his same playbook which brought Mitel and Newbridge success and riches. Like Tom Brady utilizing his same strategies with his new team last year to win a national championship. Terry Matthews is a Tom Brady of Information Technology. If it aint't broke, don't fix it.
These are early days for Martello. As with Mitel, things really got exciting once they started adding to their indirect partner network. And far better than Mitel, Martello does not play in the hardware world and is strictly software. The company and stock could be in a drastically different place in twleve months from now if the Matthews playbook is in fact at work.
