RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Chevy rolls out....We would be fools to think that there will not be many types of batteries used in the auto industry but in the big picture and with all the other uses of cobalt the facts remain there is not enough in production to go around and that remains a problem and as experts have predicted that shortage is eminent. EVs are a part of the battery world and will create the immediate demand and rightfully so to deal with the immediate co2 along with general pollutant problems the world faces.
just like we have three primary ICE fuels we will have options in batteries.....in the end with batteries if your not paying for cobalt you will be paying for technology ...that's the market at work. Predicted exponential ev rollout is comming ....but the real meat and potatoes will be mass storage systems and they are also inevitable.
GM s plan is great but seems to me there remains risk of tried and tested technology and also seems is not fully developed and may be a bit of a red herring...time will tell and it's not like we have not seen that before. I will go with the experts on battery metals....they have made thier voice clear to the market and industry. The story on battery metals remains the talk of the mining industry, governments and manufacturing and that is not going away nor is the risks associated with the DRC and China's control over that, not to forget the ethical issues. Governments and manufacturers are worried and rightfully so. The Nico deposit is known and very developable and our management needs to complete the fully integrated plan by anserwing the processing issue. Yep stay long IMO they are at the cusp of doing that and when they do a raft of doors open and we go to new levels.
