RE:RE:Don should tone it down a touchI'm not saying it's not possible, but from an execution standpoint, it's not an easy feat. 'Just' finding partners, raising capital, building out plants... From a critical eye perspective, even the 9 JVs we've signed to date really aren't worth anything more than the paper they're written on until the money is raised and construction kicks off. Many things can fall apart in between. I would just prefer that he focus on what's happening now, and just to come, rather than about hopes and dreams. If he gets into that, he may as well say 40 in 5 year, 150 in ten, and 100 in 20. I'm being facetious of course, but you take my point. Real money doesn't put much stock in big future promises, not matter how honest the intention. Rather it serves sadly to diminish faith in the character of those who spout them. I just hope he keeps it nice and tidy that's all. Too many a small company has fallen victim to thinking that people want to hear plans of grandeur, when really they want to hear about an acheivable path to profitability. Smart money's BS meter is very well tuned ;) I'm in CMC for a good chunk and believe the potential is here, but am wary of inexperienced management for certain. GLTA

If the desulphurizing process works at scale the JV kicks in and we get 9 plants now. If that happens demand for these plants is going to exceed their ability to build them, so 40 plants is based on how quickly they can build them. If full scale desulphurizing hits a speed bump that sets them back a year we're all going to be left licking our wounds. This really is an all or nothing investment. catchascatchcan wrote:He's green I know, but the first rule is under promise and over deliver. I hope he doesn't spout too much about building 40 plants over the next 5 years, as those are pie-in-the-sky goals. He should talk turkey about expansion at Aldersyde, and the Cielo build plant coming to Edmonton. It's easy to talk about grand plans years out that have no financial backing or concrete investment of any kind, but real investors will see right through them and throw the baby out with the bath water. Instead of fluffy pumping, I truly hope he has the experience of smarts to keep it tidy and talk about near and medium term goals that are measurable and ripe for execution and delivery. Don't let us down Don! GLTA |
