RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RRSP vs TFSA for retirementit depends on the individual situation, it's different for someone with a good db pension plan than it is for a person with only cpp and oas,  it you don't have a decent pension you will need a decent rrsp, some people may not even need an rrsp. if you are somewhere in the middle do both, that's what I did when I bought it a coupla years ago ( don't have any at the moment) plus in unregistered account.  I put money in rrsp's basically from year 1 and they grew nicely to the point where I haven't made a contribution in 15-20 yrs and it's still growing nicely. tfsa's are a gold mine and a must no matter your situation. the problem in both is you can't deduct losses so as you age you need a lot less risk, it I buy xbc back it won't be in a registered acct.
