The brilliant brothers who created and own the majority of the shares of this company should initiate a special dividend because it is in their best interest from a tax point of view. In Canada, dividends are taxed at a much lower rate than employment income. This is because the government is trying to avoid double taxation of corporate income. Distribution of a special dividend will benefit the brothers tremendously and allow the other shareholders to share in the rewards of this record year. If the brothers "keep it all" through executive pay then half goes to the Government of Canada through income taxes. If they take money out of the company through dividends, then they keep much more. You portray them as greedy, I see them as smarter than that.
