To the "Fact Checkers"I really don't know the details surrounding those announcements and neither do you. You're simply assuming they were lying to generate interest. That's quite an accusation and I'm willing to guess neither the CEO or CFO would be foolish enough to risk their careers blatantly misleading the investment community. However, i would be interested knowing exactly how it all developed, events leading up to the "deals" and how/why they came to making those announcements. Then ultimately why they never materilized.
That said, ... had they done a big financing as a result of those announcements, at $3.00-4.00/sh, I would agree it would have been highly suspicious, but they didn't. Instead, MMCAP, a Big Boy professional investment company, upon doing their DD, agreed to lend EFL the debenture monies. Banks have also stepped in to finance along the way. If this was anything like a Bre-X, I doubt either of those options would have been available. Even today, Banks are still willing to lend. They must be doing "something" reasonably right. If they were as bankrupt as you keep suggesting, how is it they keep rising from the ashes?
Over the last 15 yrs+, EFL has had a number of opportunities to finance at much higher prices had they chosen to do so. Could have been accused of pump and dumps but they did not take advantage of any of those increases. Instead, it's been financings in the pennies to which they have been criticized for not financing at higher opportunities.
Business is tough and they all push the limits to stay alive. There are so many more companies, even much bigger companies, mining companies you would be better wasting your 15 yrs spent on little insignifcant EFL. You have an emotional attachment to this one. No one wastes the amount of time and energy you have, on such a small time issue. Unless they have been hurt, or, in their mind, wronged.
Which brings me to the last point. Perhaps you should tell the folks you're supposedly trying to protect, ... maybe they should get a broker or stick to the big liquid stocks with plenty of supervision. This is not a game for them to play if they haven't the experience or learnt to deal with penny stocks etc. Like it or not, EFL and the small markets are not for the naive or inexperienced. There's manipulation everywhere. Gold/silver markets, Wall St, Bay St. That's just a fact. I learnt my lessons. i still do from time to time. But it's my choice. I'm not a victim like you.
