RE:RE:Board change - bylaw amendmentsNo one has been “kicked off” anything. If there is any dissention on the board they sure are disguising in well. And what is there here that allows you to suggest that this was not George Fink’s plan, one perhaps delayed by the diversion of attention caused by a hostile and never-ending hostile take-over bid? George may be stepping back, but he is still front and center in the company. Who is running Obsidian these days anyway? Last we heard the interim head was only being renewed until the end of January 2021... Any fallout there over the failed bid(s)? Or the expense these incurred? Indeed, is there any discussion at all about Obsidian anywhere?
I am told that less than 1% of Bonterra shares were ever tendered to Obsidian’s offer(s). So, yes you were very wrong on that count. Yet you continue to harp on amalgamation despite the evidence that Obsidian is not anyone’s target, and Bonterra clearly does not want to be anyone’s.
I reiterate that change costs cash up front and that is missing across (most of) the sector. Neither Obsidian nor Bonterra are in any position to buy up other companies right now. Obsidian has just demonstrated that in spades. There might well be some deals (deal: something where both sides are pleased with the result) that could be done on certain assets, but for the time being, these will be small and in the margins.
