China Q1: + 18.3% y/y

China Q1: + 18.3% y/ySlamming the brakes early, hard and keeping your foot on the pedal works.  You emerge from the crisis faster.  Compare that to the three worst cases of denial, "it's just a flu" etc.  Trump, Bolsonaro, BoJo (till  he had the epiphany in ICU).  Criminal negligence!
Lets learn from the countries who managed the pandemic smartly.  We know them well: S.Korea, N.Z., Australia etc etc etc.  Heck even the folks in Ulan Bator performed better than the richest country in the world.
Dithering on the other hand merely prolongs the agony.  Tell that to our premiers:  DoFo, Legault, Kenney etc.
Of course some will, as usual,  challenge China's numbers.  Don't have to believe them. Just compare the satellite images of the orange haze of pollution spewed by their factories: before, during and post pandemic.

No, we are not out of it yet.  Numbers are still explosive in Canada's large population centres. You can get infected and hope your immune system will keep you off the ventilator.  I'd rather take a vaccine, any day.
ps:
Rep Jim Johnson, logorrhea on steroids, tried to tangle with Tony Fauci at a committee hearing and got his comeuppance.  I'm sure there's a video out there in cyberspace.
