RE:NEW RISK. READ CAREFULLYOf course I knew the thread clowns would jump on this. They never disappoint.
Now they want to discredit the Lancet! To the clowns here, since you clearly don't have the capacity to understand, I'll dumb it down for you.
1) With "standard covid", face masks and social distance may have been enough to dampen transmission.
2) With the Variants, 2 1/2 times more contagious and with the Spike Protein much "stickier", our current protocals (distance and mask) are showing to be NOT enough.
Transmission the the eyes of viruses is of course not a new idea. But as it applies to the exploding Variant counts, it absolutely IS an issue to be addressed. In this VERY real-time world, I'm actually shocked that this hasn't been raised by Goverment Health Authorities in a very public way. It's disturbing to say the least.
That being said, there are certainly all kinds of dumb people out there, and clearly some of them right here on this thread. Once again, how about we just let the share price do the talking, while you resident clowns continue to do the "chicken-little" little thing and sing another round of Kum-By Ya. How's that been working for you the past few days? ;)

variant transmission is now happening through the EYES. This was the first I heard this, so I immediately started looking this up to learn more.
One of the most respected medical journals in the world is the Lancet. This article specifically referenced this very problem. Here are some excerpts:
"Eye-protective face shields have been proposed to prevent community transmission. A large study showed that 19% of health-care workers became infected, despite wearing three-layered surgical masks, gloves, and shoe covers and using alcohol rub. After the introduction of face shields, no worker was infected."
"The eyes are located at a vantage point, simultaneously sensing high bandwidth information but are also exposed to the airborne risk. Ocular surface area, including periocular structures, is large compared with the surface of the mouth and nares and is readily available for droplet deposition. This area has been calculated to be around 10000 mm2, two orders of magnitude greater than for the nares and mouth. The tear film protects the ocular surface but also provides an unrecognised vehicle for viral carriage into the nose. "
I've been saying for weeks now that "we're missing something with regard to variants, i.e., the protocals of 6 ft distance and masks are NOT working. Imho, this provides that missing component, and it is scary as Hell, particularly in ANY indoor/enclosed setting. We may have been "lucky" with standard covid, but with this variants being 2.5t imes more transmissiable and "stikier", it makes sense.
As for any of the recovery stocks, including AC, I now fully put ALL upside bets OFF the table. Here is the link to the full article. CLICK HERE to read.
