Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:Are the prices pot stocks being manipulated

RE:Are the prices pot stocks being manipulatedTo a certain extent I agree with you however, Covid is what keeps Aphria speculative. We have a good business globally and a product legalizing in country after country. Irwin Simon including Tilray are capitalizing on this trend. We are kept under the umbrella of speculative because we are dealing with extraordinary circumstances of lockdowns. Aphria could have reported an incredible quarter with good recreational growth but we have our set backs. I don't think Aphria is a typical "pot stock" that's speculative. We know it has a diversity of products we also know we netted 15 million profit from our beverage company. Let's assume some of that was on lockdown as well. Numbers could be better next quarter. We also spent a fortune on the merger and paying off SweetWater. One time costs of growing and doing business. Irwin Simon also mentioned he's looking to buy consumer brands. That could mean some dilution to pay for them but none the less we are a good company I think ost the "speculative" cloud. Mexico legalized, Canada legalized, across Europe changes are taking form and eventually the USA. Israel legalizing this summer already past the parliament. That's not really speculative. I think our core business is sound but facing headwinds with lockdowns
