Question to those who might know better than me:

Maybe the answer to all this secret non-telling-the-story behaviour lies direct in the very egoistic motivation of those 3 "wise men" in control of SQI?

They started with 30%, now stand @ 80%?

What if all this is exactly the plan? To silently grab as much shares as possible BEFORE opening up and probably either sell off a chunk and live with the remaining or undergo a private agreement for selling the company?

Maybe Invitae might want to buy, who knows?
