You are correct that listings to the big boards makes alot of sense. Where you get it wrong though Pure Gold does not meet the listing requirements in the US which is the reason company's like this have to do a rollback to move to the big boards. I have not checked in awhile but a listing on most US major market is $4 US. There are also a bunch of other requirments some of which I do not believe they meet until they get up and running. So at minimum you would likely have to see a 5 for 1 rollback.
As to the whole option scenario again this type of stock would not meet requirement and would have no option interest. For example, I like my position in a stock but I do not think it is going anywhere for awhile so I might want to make money while I wait and sell a call. You are going to do this on a non volatile stock. If the stock doubles you lose any upside except for the call premium. Needless to say you would not want someone puting this to you at $2.50 when it trades down to .50.
With the type of stocks if you want to play the big risks on the up and down you really accomplish this by just shorting the stock or by placing heavy margin bets on the upside.
As far as you saying it is playing out in a way envisioned I am not sure about that. They are suppose to be in commercial production already? They have very little cash and they will not be cash flow positive for some time which is why the dilutive financing.
