RE:Chasing RainbowsAnybody with a brain knows that NG should and must replace coal-fired power generation short term. That would make for an immediate near 50% drop in GHG emissions from power generation. What the politicians are trying to do is skip several steps in the process of conversion, and are trampling on the one solution that is both cost effective and logical. The trouble is most politicians know absolutely nothing about running a business, like our Prime Idiot and his followers.

Even worse for hydrogen production and distribution. There is no getting around the fact that nat gas and/or coal is the glue that holds power grids together. Distributed and variable feeds only work at the margin.
Which brings me to my point. LNG replacing international coal use is the only real and economic solution available for a minor consumer of global energy like Canada. With LNG exports Canada can more reliably attain their commitments to the Paris Agreement
So please tell me how we can get our leaders out of their fantasy land and back into reality !!
