As things stand today, natural gas is on par with coal.

That problem , where not already resolved , can most likely be resolved at far lesser cost than other climate change fixes. coal gas (methane) can also be gathered, but at greater expense due to its diffuse nature.
I really believe that all GHG s can be reduced, but the more effective solutions have been swamped by the fog of politics and vested interests
