RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Bitcoin needs Dollar, Dollar does Not need BitcoinThis is a nice explanation but it has some caveat that can be argued:
One way of defining liquidity is the ability of an asset to be converted to cash $ on demand. In simple words, why are you buying BIGG shares using Dollars?? Because this is the world we are living in actually. Don't you remember the history with gold and the dollars. The currency domination was created because it was simpler for trading then carrying gold, weight it and do the math for the exchange. The currency was quicker for the transaction. Why not using Bitcoins?? The BTC acceptance is not as yet as devlopped as the dollars. Is Bitcoin an asset like Gold, Real estate or it's a currency like Dollar?? It starting to get some acceptance worlwide see ETF and regulations. Was the US dollars the world currency reserve when is started or was it gold, an asset? To trade Assets you need Dollars but you can't trade one asset for another asset without involving Dollars (rare exceptions of barter system ignored). You can buy a coffee, a Telsa and other thing with a BTC. If the BTC pass the test, it will be only the beginning of the digital currency. Now which of the new digital currency will be the reserve one.? Futur will tell.
This is the reason why networth or value of an individual or an asset is measured in terms of dollars. If you have a million $ you are a true millionnaire (ignoring slight variations due to currency exchange) but if you own Bitcoins, you may be millionnaire today and may be a pauper tomorrow, depends on whatis Bitcoin value in terms of dollars on that day. Bitcoin in itself is worthless without dollar value attached to it. Don't we have a daily valuation of the US dollars every day? It is less volatile than the BTC today, I agree. Today you might be able to say this about the BTC, but may be one day....
I am just trying to show you different vision and I am not saying that you are wrong, but rather show you that other people can and will have different interpretation of the same information than both of us have
