Pre-owned sales

Pre-owned salesFrom CIBC transportation and aerospace Weekly:

IADA Reports Over 1,200 Preowned Business Jet Sales The Last 12 Months IADA reported 211 business aviation aircraft transactions were finalized in Q1/21, while another 246 aircraft were put under contract by its members and 41 deals fell through. This compares to Q4/20 where 554 deals were closed, with 295 placed under contract and 36 falling apart. IADA noted that its members typically average over 700 transactions and US$6B in sales per year. During the past 12 months though (April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021), they registered more than 1,200 transactions valued at over US$10B. Looking out the next six months, IADA members expect a slight sales increase driven by the light and midsized jet markets. The business aviation market has proven to be resilient during the pandemic and the elevated activity within the preowned market is a positive leading indicator for new aircraft sales.
