Here is the actual problem you seem to be missing.  It is the test sample size.  So if you recall the samples were essentially 5kg pails.  So there is 1000kg in 1 tonne.  So that means there is about 200 of these pails in a tonne.  So if they find 1 gram of gold in the pail it is multiplied by 200 to get the estimate so that gram becomes 200gpt.  Needless to say you can see where that can go seriously wrong!   Bottom line you are confusing yourself if you think they somehow found 253 gpt, 165 and 94.  They essentially found 1gram or a fraction of a gram in the sample pail!
