RE:RE:News of news to come is news
RE:RE:News of news to come is news TT, I did read your post thoroughly, as I do for many. 'Possibly' and 'not out of the question' are undeniably safe statements given they cover any and all outcomes. I'm of the mind that it is not likely however that we get a needle-moving PR. The Feb 16th PR that you're quoting is emblematic of the trouble with XBCs lost trust from the market place at the moment. 'Also, last month HyGear delivered something to someone'. Worth noting that the stock lost a dollar over the following short while and then began tumbling a lot more in short order. They are becoming increasingly guilty of poor PRs that state so little that they are anecdotally positive at best! The fact that we were given zero details about the Inmatec price or their top line sales or bottom line profits can lead an investor to believe only one thing - it's not a material cost, not materially significant to our revenues or margins. If it were either they'd be falling over themselves to let the market know. I am fully aware that I'm sounding like a negative Nancy of late, but I'm simply venting some frustration with what I believed to be a professional outfit. This is not directed at yourself in anyway, I'm simply bouncing off your posts to make my point. XBC management had best figure out how to treat the market and make some market worthy moves or we are at serious risk. They need to start talking turkey and fast. This quarter is make or break. They can get through unscathed and provide clear guidance, or it's our head, and a much longer long road to recovery. Sorry so glass half empty, but just read that Feb 15th quote - it's embarrassing to the point of being laughable. Sadly the joke is on us at present. GLTA

We can't be desperate - this is only going to move on real and substantial news, or alternately solid quarterly perform very numbers and guidance over time. No amount of microanalysis of daily volumes or gyrations or relative movements vs our peer group amounts to anything more than a time killing exercise until the market finally moves for a reason. It's tough to feel helpless, and while it's fun to pass the days with witchcraft analysis, and its human nature to try to convince ourselves we are in control and see why things are happening, it's healthier to be pragmatic and honest. We are in the penalty box for a good while. We *Icked up something serious, and we're paying for it. If you're not a seller, just settle in. This thing isn't taking off on a moment's notice no matter how nice it would be. As another mentioned, pray the quarter is void of more bad news. No bad news is good news for this quarter. Don't expect fireworks or you'll be sadly disappointed. GLTA and patience patience patience
Yes, I couldn't agree more that announcing the earnings release date won't move the stock in and of itself.
Perhaps you missed the part where I added:
"Definitely an earnings pre-announcement within 3 days. Possibly with an "attachment".
Some additional news simultaneously with the announcement is far from out of the question.
This would seem a reasonable possibility, given that Xebec has often combined separate news items into one release. In fact, as recently as February 16th, when Xebec announced HyGear's 15-year Gas-as a-Service contract, towards the end of the press release they added:
Also, last month, HyGear delivered an on-site hydrogen generation system to KIWA Group in Birmingham for fuel cell components testing. These recent orders and deliveries support the launch of the company’s hydrogen supply strategy in the United Kingdom,
So, you see, we can't rule out additional news along with the date of the earnings release, which was a point I thought I had made quite clearly. Simultaneous news is not as rare as you would think. Like cojoined twins.
Perhaps it won't happen, but as I suggested, it's quite possible.
