2,000 m3 of oxygen per hour against COVID

An order for 48 oxygen generators is about to be sent out. The generators are used in numerous hospitals in inaccessible regions in northern India to fight COVID.

India is the country with the second highest number of corona cases worldwide. So far, over 11 million people have been infected. To curb the spread, tough measures were adopted, including entry and curfews. In several regions there was a shortage of oxygen to treat patients despite a quadrupling of oxygen production between March and September 2020. 48 oxygen generators were ordered to support the oxygen supply in the states of Kashmir and Jammu.

These remote regions in the Himalayas generally have poor infrastructure and are sometimes cut off from the outside world for a few months each year. The generators are distributed in numerous government hospitals in Anantnag, Ganderbal, Kupwara and Srinagar, among others, and produce between 26 and 54 m3 of oxygen per hour, depending on the model. The generators are used in hospitals to ventilate COVID patients. In addition, the oxygen produced on site will also be used in operations in the future.
