Why did he leave with 75% percent change? Looks like he was charging before the trip but outside in the cold when charging is slow and energy or range is lost due to cold. I thought having a garage is a must for EV owners, night temperatures are often -15 or colder.
Was the heater turned on during the entire trip or the family wearing heavy winter clothes?

Anyhow, 6 hours in the winter is not bad, I thought it would take a lot longer.

Our trip is 430 km to relatives in Nepean. Make it an extra 20 km to a hotel downtown. The traffic is heavy during Christmas holidays or long weekends and ONroute plazas are often crowded with long lines to get food and gas (often lines to ladies washroom).
The average trip is less than 4.5 hours, cold or hot, in full comfort with the heater or A/C always on as needed. That is with one quick stop to stretch and grab a snack and coffee. Normal speed is 120 km/h, when possible, passing at higher speeds.
The trip is routine and boring and I always leave with a full tank to make it as fast as possible or in case of traffic jams due to road repairs and accidents. Always enough to get there plus driving around the city, often visiting downtown, Rideau Hall, Rideau Falls, etc. Refueling on the way home.
