Short squeeze is about the difficulty to cover the short positions already opened. To cover a short position you must buy. To make difficult to buy, you must push the ASK as high as possible and put out of money (and far away) the short positions already opened. By placing very high sell orders, yes, your shares can't be used by brokers against yourself, but you avoid only the open of new short positions. You can't' generate a short squeeze movement.
