RE:RE:Thanks To 2 Ricks

RE:RE:Thanks To 2 RicksYeah similar, except...you picked up 2X what I did and you haven't sold any you bugger!

That +.61 day recently was a $65-70K gain on paper in one day for you, holy krap man, must have been a bit surreal.

From clues he has dropped over the years, I figure Top has around 275K shares so up some $165K on paper that day, assuming he's not a Walter Mitty.

RF with his 150-160 million shares up some $95 million that day!

And I still bump into doofuses who believe that there's no money to be made in mining, Everyone always loses money, it's all a scam, everyone is lying to you. Sure there is that rep. but plenty of cash to be made if you make the right play at the right time in the cycle.

An arrogant Brit prik that I hardly know but heard from a close buddy that I was in this pretty big thought it was his place to try to talk me out at about $3.50 in a bar one night. "Get out of that", he said without knowing anything whatsoever about the co. "Have you looked into the outlook for copper this coming decade", I ask him. "Do you know how many times I've heard that kind of bullsh!t", he says! "you really have to know the story on this one", I tell him. He mocked the word story like it was a fiction that someone just made up! By "story" I meant the projects, the management, the commodiites, the financal situation, etc. Hope to see again sometime as I will jam this down his throat, out his as$ and back down his throat multiple times. About as wrong and ignorant as a man could possibly be. Another guy I know tried to panic me out of it at $4. "You're being emotional", he says. "How is that?", I say, Do you know anything about the co. and my strategy going forward"? "Do you check the quote everyday?", he says. "Well, yeah", I say, "I'm retired so I check my investments throughout the day". This was proof to him that my investment in IVN was "emotional"! What in the holy fuq!

I know I know it's best not to talk about this kind of thing with anyone - people resent it when others hit the jackpot on something and they missed out. Some can't accept that a good idea can exist if it wasn't their idea or if it is in a sector unfamiliar to them. And the krap you have to put up with if they hear it's an Africa play or if the Chinese are involved in a big way. Better just to keep it to yourself and quietly get rich.

Like you, spent time reading about it after seeing Rick continuously recommending as top pick and I starting taking a position in the company as it fell below $1 and kept buying, the lowest purchase being .56 c. The whole commodity market was falling apart at that time taking the good, bad and the ugly with it.It was the perfect opportunity . I was familiar with Rick Rule and his reputation already from the previous resource bull market around 2000 when he ran his old firm. I can still remember him making the comment on one of the shows , that he had never in his career ,seen  a single  junior company that held such value with 3 tier 1 assets all under one umbrella..............as I recall him saying, IVN would one day be the posterchild for a Harvard school business case study.
