MOVIN' ON UPI would expect this to be a good day (if not week) based on several factors.
1) There has been a substantially lower rate of infection in the U.S., showing that the vaccine is working well and the U.S. may have now shown to have turned the corner to a winning stance.
2) Even more than point #1, the MASSIVE influx of vaccine into Canada is going to be a very positive game-changer. While it has certainly been tough and frustrating the past couple of months, Canada should quickly catch up to the U.S. over the next 6 weeks, if not surpass them given that vaccine adoption here is significantly higher.
As for the market, this news should bode very well for the stock. The market won't wait until June to reflect these developments. Given that the stance was significantly worse even last Friday, and the news brightens the immediate future significantly, this should also be a real shot-in-the-arm for the share price as well. Even more so given that AC has a LOT of ground to make up to catch up to the U.S. airline valuations.
