Timing is everything. Energy sector (including natural gas) has been trashed for last five years. FS Natural gas fund was 23.12 five years ago and is 13.06 today. But the number we are missing is where the sector will be in 5 years. Even if soft (or trash) there is still prospect for TXP to do well based on local demand, fixed price competitive for petrochemical and power companies, and also lucrative for TXP, given likely massive serial rise in production over the next five years. I don’t blame Nuttall for liking TXP. Kind of irrelevant that his track record (like ever other buy side energy analyst) has been terrible over the last five years.
