House Positions (Nov 04- May 04)It is interesting to examine the Brokerage activity over the past 6 months to see who is accumulating shares and who is disposing shares during this half year of diminishing share prices.
It is no surprise to see that Anonymous, having sold 18.5 Million shares, ended with a negative 9.3 Million shares. And on the opposite end is our daily accumulator, aka Mackie, who "bought" 3.7 Million shares, to end with a positive 3.6 Million shares.
The rest of the Brokerage houses have basically bought and sold with gusto, however the net shares remaining in their ownership was not significant.
This is not a surprise as these brokerages are simply storehouses for a couple of major Bankters, and hedge funds who incestuously buy and sell to one another to move the markets up or down, all the while retaining their positions. The past 6 months have also been a period of time when there has been minimal retail activity, as most retail investors have retained their share positions, and few have taken the opportunity to increase holdings during this 6-month drought.
It is my belief that Mackie brokerage sole responsibility is to accumulate shares on the Buy, in order to funnel shares back to Anonymous as historically their net share sells would almost equal the combined float of Tinley's. A little change in the dynamics that I have noticed recently is that Mackie has stopped accumulating shares for Anonymous as of April 27, however a new kid on the block also knows as Fidelity has conveniently taken their place as of April 28.
It appears (to me) that after yesterdays co-sign with Pabst, that a huge element of doubt as to the ability to pull off a major co-pack has been eliminated and that the dark cloud that has been prevalent over this Company during this gut wrenching year might be a thing of the past. One concern that must be addressed before the shorts cover and move to the Buy side is to address the apparent lack of cash on hand. I was surprised that there wasn't a Part B to yesterdays News release suggesting another dreaded PP, that always puts a 3-month damper on the SP. Perhaps, our revenues are starting to cover expenses? If so, this Company will prosper sooner rather than later.
