Sports team failure analogy - Part 2
Cabbie's last post is pasted below. Faith or hope in the BoD/ MGMT's ability to deliver on IRD seems entirely counter intuitive. Look at the 10 year chart - it should be indicative of BoD and MGMT skill set.
If XYZ Corporation owned a NHL hockey team and was unsuccessful over the very long term, bought a minor league baseball team and also had cash and borrowing strength to buy an MLB team, would you trust them to spend that cash and be successful in MLB ?
Does intuition not say "These guys have not been able to do it yet, so its likely they will not do it going forward" ?
I want to realize value as much as any other. Cheering the BoD and MGMT has not worked. It is unlikely to work going forward.

Slide #9 is where the excitement is to be found...still need to demonstrate they can execute the ITS strategy.
Regarding sale of the Wilan sub, fine. What would a buyer pay. It's impossible to set a valuation while the Apple case is still up in the air.
It's important to realize that execution of the ITS strategy is not dependent on the Apple case."
