I agree but in the context of commofity prices that have tripled and quadrupled it's somewhat expected. A friend is building a garage addition to his house and the price is up over 125% from before last winter when he got estimates. Building a Heartland today is impossible, with Bill C-69 and costs easily double $8 billion wouldn't surpise me assuming a shovel in the ground being allowed in the first place. Now we know why Brookfield wants IPL so bad.
