Have you looked at the share price? The market was obviously pricing in lacklustre results. 

The revenue drop is disappointing but margins were significantly better than Q4. I think the drop in gross margin for Q4 spooked the market so it is nice to see margins back up.

Revenue from Q1 2020 also includes about a 10% Covid boost so Q1 2021 revenue is actually about 20% higher than pre-covid levels. 

If this quarter gives us a glimpse into the earnings potential in a post-covid world then the stock is dirt cheap.  After tax earnings per share were 16 cents. That means ex-cash Apollo is trading at less than 5 times forward earnings.

Regarding the volatility comment that could easily be backwards looking to explain the drop in revenue from Q4 to Q1. As customers make their way through excess inventory and commercial businesses begin to re-open we could see a boost in demand throughout the rest of 2021.
