We will find out in time. The basis of the suggestion is that a company with a cobalt mine would likely garner a higher multiple than a copper company and that increase would not get reflected in the share price of the copper company if it also mined cobalt. In my experience, the shareholders win when a higher multiple asset is spun out and the shareholders get their fractional shares.
