RE:RE:RE:what has changed nothingHi UpTown
Just a quick generalization about ore and share price.
In our situation there is approx 1.4 billion pounds of copper.
Copper has gone up 60 cents a pound since I last posted
60 cents x 1.4 Billion pounds x 1.2 exchange rate = just over $1 billion
However that $1 billion is over the life of the mine, and so in today's dollars, if we provide a rate of return of 5%, it works out to approx another $600 million.
An extra $600 million is still an extra $30 per share, as there are 20 million shares.
What I am not sure of, is how much extra copper will be mined because now the low grade will be profitable. I think this could be a considerable amount because the cutoff grade was at $2.75 USD when the working model was used (9 years ago?) and so at $4.75 or an extra $2 per pound, we could end up with a lot more copper.
As a general rule, for every 10 cent increase in copper, it leads to a $5 increase of NPV to each share.... of course this is all based on getting the permit
I hope this helps
