RE:RE:Ground staking in Nevada
That's for Canada. Nevada is still in the USA last time I checked. On BLM & USFS land, a staked claim begins with physical markers at your claim site. Then you go to the county courthouse & submit the paperwork & a nominal fee. On private land, you are done & ready to explore. In federal land, you must submit a plan to the local district ranger or BLM poohbah on how you will explore, with what equipment, how you will mitigate damage, will you build a road etc. Then they decide if you get to do anything with it.
